Send and receive faxes from the desktop PC using a single fax/modem on the network. 602LAN SUITE 2004 provides fax services via a fax modem. The fax server is SMTP-based, so all faxes are send and received to/from clients in the SMTP format. Faxes are addressed in the format of: Faxnumber@fax or Faxnumber@fax.fax

     Instead of using the e-mail address, just address the fax recipient (i.e. 5555555@fax). OLE Support is provided so instead of typing the fax message in the body of the e-mail a file can be attached to the e-mail that will be faxed instead. As long as the appropriate application is installed on the server it will have support for that file type (i.e. if Microsoft Office ® is installed, then 602LAN SUITE 2004 can convert .DOC and .XLS files).
